As hurricane season approaches, the Deer Park Community Association and Deer Park Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring a free Citizens Preparedness Training Class. This event will be co-hosted by Suffolk County Legislators Donnelly and Flotteron. The event will be run by representatives from the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services.

Residents will learn about important life-saving tips and tools to protect themselves, their families and their neighbors in the event of an emergency.

All participants will receive a survival kit with over $100 of safety materials in the event of a disaster situation.
